Instagram's Threads Rivals Twitter With Instagram-Like Save Feature For Posts

In the competitive landscape of social media platforms, Meta's Threads is gearing up to challenge its rival, X (formerly Twitter ), with its latest feature rollout: 'Save on Threads.' This Instagram-like bookmarking capability enables users to curate and revisit their favourite posts conveniently.

Adam Mosseri , head of Instagram , made the announcement about the introduction of this new feature on Threads. He mentioned that the feature is now being rolled out more broadly, indicating its availability to a wider user base. This addition comes after several months of users' demand for a convenient way to bookmark and revisit content within the platform.

How to Save Posts on Threads:

To utilise the 'Save on Threads' feature, users simply need to navigate to the desired post and click on the three-dot menu located at the top right corner. From the menu that appears, selecting the 'Save' option will add the post to the user's saved collection. Should users wish to remove a post from their saved list, they can do so by accessing the same three-dot menu and selecting 'Unsave.'

Accessing saved posts is equally straightforward. Users can tap on the profile button situated at the bottom bar, then navigate to the two-line menu at the top right corner, and choose the 'Saved' option. This action will display all the posts saved by the user, akin to the experience on Instagram. However, as the feature is gradually rolling out, users may need to exercise patience as it becomes available on their accounts.

Threads has been actively enhancing its platform with new features in recent months. Mosseri revealed ongoing tests for additional functionalities, including the ability to save a draught by swiping down on a post and direct camera usage from the composer.
