Sky rival that offers TV for free sells out but there's a new way to get it this week
Sky's latest Stream box is pretty tough to beat. As you can read in our full Sky Stream review, this diddy device arrives in the post with homes simply connecting it to their Wi-Fi to get access to over 100 live channels along with on-demand content and streaming services like Netflix. It's a top-rated TV device, but it does come at a cost, with monthly prices starting from at least £15 per month.
Freely launched back in 2024 and also uses the web to beam live and on-demand shows, sports and movies into homes.
The big difference with Freely is that it's completely free to watch. All you need is a compatible device, and you can tune into over 50 live channels without needing a subscription.
At launch, only new TVs came with this service built in, but now there are a number of dedicated set-top boxes, including the Aero 4K from Manhattan.
The smart new device offers instant access to over 60 live channels and on-demand content, all available for free without a subscription.
There's also full voice search, recommendations for things to watch, the ability to pause live content, and it offers access to apps such as Disney+ and Netflix (you will have to sign up for these premium services of course).
It's priced at £89.99, and, since going on sale, it's been hugely popular with some stores completely selling out.
Manhattan now says stock is coming back into stock with the company saying Currys currently has some devices and Argos will join with boxes from Wednesday May 27.

Although that's good news it's also been confirmef that when this current shipment has sold out, stock will continue to appear - and likely disappear quickly - for one month until around mid-June.
"We expect to be able to meet this incredible level of demand from that point onwards," Manhattan said in an email sent to Expres.co.uk.
Some of the benefits of moving over to streaming devices such as Sky and Aero is that they include a simpler way to install things without needing an engineer to visit as well as more regular over-the-air updates.
It's certainly an interesting time for TV, with Freely recently announcing that it now has over a million users. That number looks set to grow as more of us ditch traditional ways of watching content and switch over to streaming.
The government is also set to announce the future of Freeview with some reports suggesting its days could be numbered.
