Virgin Media is dishing out free TVs this month - how to claim
People looking to upgrade their broadband and TV in one fell swoop with a package deal may want to consider going with Virgin Media, as the firm is offering a free 43-inch HD TV to anyone who signs up to one of several bundles this month.
Prices start at £47.99 per month with Virgin's Cinema bundle, which offers 362Mbps fibre broadband that Virgin says is ideal for homes with four to six people and more than ten connected devices.
The bundle also includes Virgin Media's TV product with more than 200 channels plus Netflix Standard with Adverts included in the price, alongside Sky Cinema HD and Sky Atlantic, so this could be the perfect package to get for those who love US film and TV shows. At no extra cost, they'll also get that 43-inch LG TV to enjoy it all on.
Broadband shoppers who already have a TV they're happy with can still go for this bundle, but opt for £125 in bill credit instead of the new telly.
There are three other packages that Virgin is also giving away free TV with. One is the Sport bundle, which is the same as the Cinema bundle but swaps out Sky Cinema and instead offers all nine Sky Sports channels, so watchers can enjoy the Premier League, Formula One, and a whole host of year-round sporting events with golf, tennis and more.
Sky Atlantic is also included in this £57.99 per month bundle. All promotional bundles are 24-month minimum contracts, so buyers must make sure they can afford to pay the bills for that length of time.
One thing to check is, of course, if Virgin Media services are available in your area, as the firm does not offer nationwide coverage. Head to the Virgin website and punch in your postcode to find out - just note the deal ends on July 1, 2026.
Anyone who likes the sound of cinema and sport from Sky can opt for the aptly named Sport + Cinema bundle for £67.99, which pairs all the aforementioned cinema and sport channels with an improved 515Mbps broadband connection to enjoy them all.
Speaking of nifty streaming boxes, rivalSky has brought back its lowest price on its broadband and TV combo - as the Essential TV and Full Fibre 300Mbps plan drops to £35 a month. Now this unfortunately doesn't come with the option to claim a free TV, but any consumers swapping mid-contract can claim up to £300 in switching fees.
Back to Virgin Media, and the ultimate package in the free TV offer is the Max Volt bundle, which has the fastest broadband of all at 1130Mbps, ideal for homes that have multiple people gaming and streaming at the same time. It offers more than 230 TV channels plus Netflix Standard with Adverts, as well as Sky Cinema HD, Sky Sports HD, and Sky Atlantic. You can also watch when out and about with the Virgin TV Go app.
On top of all that, the package comes with an O2 Classic Plan SIM, which has unlimited data, minutes and text.
