YouTube Music Introduces AI-Driven Voice Search For Enhanced User Experience

YouTube Music is preparing to launch a groundbreaking artificial intelligence (AI) feature, as reported this week. This new feature will allow users to search for music through verbal prompts and voice commands . With this update, users can describe music videos or request songs similar to a particular track or artist. This AI capability, set to replace the current voice search function on the Google app, was uncovered in the YouTube Music app for Android version 7.06.53, according to Android Authority.

The feature is currently in the experimental phase. A disclaimer in the app’s code states, “AI-generated responses are experimental. Quality and accuracy may vary. Please don’t enter confidential or personal information regarding yourself or others.”

Presently, YouTube Music requires users to manually search for specific songs or artists. However, the upcoming “Ask for Music” feature marks a significant improvement by enabling users to use spoken language to make their requests. Initially, this feature will be available to a select group of Android users , with broader access expected to follow soon.
