After BJP Exit, Annamalai Eyes New Political Party With Growing Membership Base

Former Tamil Nadu BJP chief K Annamalai has indicated that his movement, We The Leaders, could formally become a political party by next month or July. Claiming that nearly 18 lakh people have already joined the initiative, Annamalai said the organisation is on the right path and will soon take on a new political character. He stressed equal respect for all religions, promised fresh leadership, and said the movement would focus on issues such as drug abuse, governance and political reforms, including term limits for politicians.
