After TCS Nashik Case, Ex-Wipro Pune Employee Alleges Religious Conversion, Forced Resignation
A fresh controversy has emerged in WIPRO Pune after a former employee of a technology company alleged religious harassment, workplace discrimination and a forced resignation. The woman has filed a complaint with Hinjawadi Police and, through her lawyer, served a legal notice on the company. The allegations were made public at a press conference organised by the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti. The complainant claimed a female colleague repeatedly pressured her to convert to Islam and enter into a relationship with a Muslim man. She further alleged that company officials failed to act on her complaints and that she was later pressured into resigning. Her lawyer has sought reinstatement, withdrawal of the resignation and Rs 50 lakh compensation. Police have confirmed receiving the complaint and said an investigation is underway. The case comes weeks after similar allegations surfaced at TCS Nashik.
