AI-171 Crash Probe Continues A Year Later; AAIB Says Final Report Yet To Be Completed

One year after the crash of Air India Flight AI-171 near Ahmedabad, the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) has said that the investigation remains ongoing and no final report has been released yet. The agency stated that significant progress has been made in analysing flight recorder data, aircraft systems, engines, maintenance records, operational procedures and human factors linked to the accident. While a preliminary report was issued in July 2025, the AAIB said further technical evaluations and specialist examinations are still underway. The bureau also urged the media and public to avoid speculation until the investigation is fully completed and reviewed under international aviation norms.
