Assam Govt Launches Relief Package As Over 1.36 Lakh People Remain Flood Affected | Watch
The Assam government has started distributing the first tranche of interim flood relief, providing benefits worth nearly ₹75,000 to families whose homes were severely damaged. Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma launched the relief package from Dibrugarh while touring flood-hit districts. Meanwhile, the flood death toll has risen to 85 after three more fatalities, although the number of affected people has declined to around 1.36 lakh.
