British Kashmiris protest outside UK Parliament over crackdown in PoJK by Pakistani forces

Thousands of British Kashmiris gathered outside the Palace of Westminster to protest against human rights violations in Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir and the use of force against residents. Demonstrators demanded international intervention and accountability, raising concerns over civilian deaths, injuries, and harassment of women during unrest in the region. They called for justice and urged the United Nations and global human rights organisations to investigate developments in PoJK. Protesters said residents have been demanding basic rights including economic relief, affordable electricity, and better governance. They alleged that security forces used excessive force on peaceful demonstrations, including firing during a sit-in at Rawalakot Eidgah that led to deaths and injuries. The rally remained peaceful, with calls for dialogue, justice, and protection of fundamental rights in the region.
