Centre Seeks Time Till Saturday On Dharmendra Pradhan's Resignation Demand, Says CJP After Talks

The second round of talks between the Centre and the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) ended without a breakthrough on the demand for Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation over the NEET paper leak controversy. After a nearly two-hour meeting at the Constitution Club of India, the CJP said the government has sought time until Saturday afternoon to respond to its key demand.The CJP also claimed the Centre has given in-principle approval to compensation for families of NEET aspirants who died by suicide and the withdrawal of FIRs and legal cases against students involved in the protests. Union Health Minister JP Nadda said the government would hold internal discussions on the CJP's demands before the next round of talks scheduled for Saturday.
