Delhi Police Foils Alleged ISI-Backed Terror Plot, Recovers Arms And Exposes Cross-Border Network
Delhi Police's Special Cell has arrested seven alleged operatives linked to a Pakistan-backed terror-crime syndicate that investigators claim was planning attacks in Delhi-NCR. Police say the network, allegedly operated by Pakistan-based handlers Shahzad Bhatti and Ajmal Gujjar, was involved in arms smuggling, drug trafficking, reconnaissance of sensitive locations and recruitment through social media. Authorities recovered semi-automatic pistols, live cartridges, mobile phones and financial records during the operation. Investigators claim the group surveyed crowded public places, important establishments and locations linked to religious leaders before allegedly sharing the information with handlers across the border. The probe is ongoing, with police searching for additional suspects and wider links to cross-border terror networks.
