Delhi Police Foils Major Attack Plot, Arrests 9 Linked To ISI-Dawood Ibrahim Terror Network
The Delhi Police Special Cell has busted an alleged terror module linked to the Dawood Ibrahim network and Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), arresting nine individuals accused of plotting attacks in the national capital. According to sources cited by ANI, the group had allegedly been developed over a long period with the objective of carrying out terror strikes on critical installations, security personnel and prominent religious places in Delhi. The arrested suspects reportedly include individuals of Nepali origin. During the operation, police recovered a large cache of arms, hand grenades and explosive materials, averting a potential security threat. Initial investigations have indicated alleged links between the accused, Pakistan-backed handlers and operatives connected to the Mumbai underworld. Authorities are now probing the network's financing, recruitment and logistical support systems.
