'Did You Approve This?': Rahul Gandhi BLASTS Amit Shah Over 'Barbaric Assault' On Student Protesters
Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi has written to Union Home Minister Amit Shah, demanding accountability over the alleged police action against student protesters in Delhi. In his letter, Gandhi accused security forces of using indiscriminate force, including tear gas and pellet guns, against students protesting for a fair and accountable education system. He also alleged that women protesters were assaulted and questioned whether the use of pellet guns and deployment of plainclothes personnel had been authorised. Gandhi cited the case of 19-year-old Sahil Lochab, who he claimed may lose an eye after being hit by pellets. Reiterating that peaceful protest is a democratic right, Gandhi urged the government to answer the allegations and ensure accountability for the reported violence.
