'Do Not Be Arrogant': Kejriwal Urges PM Modi To Appoint Sonam Wangchuk As Education Minister
Former Delhi Chief Minister and AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal has backed educator and climate activist Sonam Wangchuk's indefinite hunger strike over the NEET controversy, joining him at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi. Sharing the stage with Wangchuk and Cockroach Janta Party founder Abhijeet Dipke, Kejriwal demanded the removal of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and urged the Centre to appoint Wangchuk in his place. He accused the government of repeatedly failing to prevent examination paper leaks and alleged that students' concerns were being ignored. Referring to the NEET controversy, Kejriwal claimed that 20 students died by suicide after the paper leak and alleged that subsequent exam leaks and issues in the CBSE evaluation process also went unaddressed. He warned that the youth would hold the government accountable in the 2029 elections.
