How Jewar Airport Changed The Region: MLA Dhirendra Singh On Jobs, Investment And Growth
Jewar MLA Dhirendra Singh has defended the development of the Noida International Airport, saying the project finally gained momentum after 2017 despite being proposed over two decades ago. Speaking about land acquisition, Singh acknowledged that farmers had genuine concerns over compensation and displacement but said continuous engagement with the government helped improve compensation packages over time. He claimed more than ₹29,000 crore has been invested in the region since 2017 and said lessons from the first phase of rehabilitation are being incorporated into future expansion plans. The MLA also highlighted upcoming investments in aviation, logistics, semiconductors, apparel manufacturing, healthcare and tourism, arguing that Jewar is set to emerge as a major economic and employment hub for Uttar Pradesh and the NCR region.
