Senior BJP leader Narottam Mishra turned emotional during the nomination rally of BJP candidate Ashutosh Tiwari for the Datia Assembly by-election, days after being denied the party ticket. Despite the setback, Mishra declared that he would campaign in every village of the constituency to ensure the BJP's victory. His emotional appearance came after some of his supporters had protested the ticket decision by blocking National Highway-44. Addressing party workers, the former Madhya Pradesh home minister defended the BJP government's record in Datia, claiming it had eliminated dacoit gangs from the region. He also attacked the Congress, urging it to seek votes based on its own work, while asserting there was no internal discord within the BJP over the ticket allocation.
