IUML And VCK To Also Join Vijay Cabinet In Tamil Nadu, Expansion Tomorrow: Report
The Indian Union Muslim League and VCK have agreed to join actor-politician Vijay’s government in Tamil Nadu, with their MLAs likely to take oath soon. Both parties were key supporters of Vijay’s government after TVK fell just short of a majority despite securing 108 seats in the Assembly polls. The VCK and Left bloc had extended support, saying the move was aimed at preventing Governor’s Rule and BJP influence in the state. IUML later announced Papanasam MLA AM Shahjahan for Cabinet inclusion. The cabinet strength has now reached 33, with two berths vacant. Meanwhile, CPI and CPM have stayed out of power, while AIADMK rebel MLAs now appear unlikely to enter the cabinet.
