Kalyan Banerjee Rejects Misconduct Allegations Amid Escalating TMC Split Battle

The political rift within the Trinamool Congress has deepened after rebel MP Kakoli Ghosh Dastidar sought the expulsion of Kalyan Banerjee from the Lok Sabha. In a complaint to Speaker Om Birla, she accused the senior TMC MP of repeated misconduct and misogynistic behaviour. Banerjee has denied the allegations, calling them politically motivated and questioning why no complaint was filed earlier. The development comes days after Dastidar and 19 other MPs merged with the NCPI.
