Kolkata Warehouse Roof Collapse: 3 Dead, Several Injured, Rescue Ops Underway

A massive rescue operation is underway in Kolkata's Taratala area after an under-construction three-storey warehouse collapsed on Wednesday afternoon. Three deaths have been confirmed, while more than 20 workers are feared trapped beneath the debris. Army personnel, NDRF teams, fire officials and disaster response workers are carrying out search and rescue operations using cranes, gas cutters, drones and sniffer dogs. Several injured workers have been pulled from the rubble and shifted to hospitals for treatment. Officials said the collapse occurred during construction work at a tea warehouse on Transport Depot Road near Brace Bridge.
