A 63-year-old man died after a tree collapsed on him amid heavy monsoon rains in Mumbai, officials said. The incident took place around 12.40 pm in Kurla West's Naupada area, where Yunus Kundawala suffered critical injuries after being struck by the falling tree. He was rescued from the debris and rushed to Fauzia Hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival. CCTV footage captured the moment the tree came crashing down. Following the incident, Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation teams removed the fallen tree from the site. The latest tragedy takes the monsoon-related death toll in Mumbai to at least four as relentless rainfall and strong winds continue to affect the city, causing widespread disruption and multiple rain-related incidents.
