'No Need To Sing Vande Matram In...' Pinarayi Vijayan Hits out at Centre, BJP After Row In Assembly
Kerala opposition leader Pinarayi Vijayan has criticised the Centre and BJP over the Vande Mataram controversy in the state assembly. He alleged full rendition of the national song is part of RSS agenda and defended partial performance. BJP accused the assembly of insulting the national song during Governor Arlekar’s address. CPM and BJP exchanged sharp political attacks over protocol, secularism and historical usage. The state government clarified it had no role, saying the programme was organised by Lok Bhavan authorities.
