NTA Calls Viral NEET-UG OMR Sheets Fake, Warns Of Strict Legal Action

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has dismissed claims surrounding viral "correct" NEET-UG 2026 OMR answer sheets, stating that the images circulating on social media are digitally manipulated and not official documents. The agency said it verified the examination records of candidates whose results were questioned online and found their declared scores to be consistent with the genuine OMR sheets on record. NTA also warned that creating, sharing or submitting forged OMR sheets is a cognisable offence under the Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2024. It issued case-specific clarifications for five candidates, maintaining that their OMR sheets were correctly evaluated and that the images being circulated had been digitally altered by adding responses or modifying candidate details.
