Operation Amistad: India Airlifts Army Field Hospital, BHISHM Cubes Relief To Venezuela
India has launched Operation Amistad, a humanitarian mission to support earthquake-hit Venezuela. Two Indian Air Force C-17 aircraft have departed carrying an Indian Army Field Hospital Unit, over 35 tonnes of relief supplies, medicines, medical equipment, and two indigenously developed BHISHM Cubes. Announcing the operation, External Affairs Minister Dr S. Jaishankar said India remains committed to supporting the government and people of Venezuela during this difficult time. The mission reflects India's continued role in providing humanitarian assistance and disaster relief to countries affected by natural disasters.
