PM Modi Sets Up Exam Reform Task Force Under Infosys Co-Founder Nandan Nilekani After NEET Backlash
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced a high-powered task force led by Infosys co-founder Nandan Nilekani to recommend reforms for India’s examination system. The panel will focus on improving transparency, reliability and the use of technology in conducting exams. PM Modi said the government is taking steps against those involved in compromising students’ futures, including setting up fast-track courts and bringing stricter legal provisions. The task force includes experts such as former ISRO chief S Somanath, former Intelligence Bureau director Tapan Deka, IIT Madras director V Kamakoti and former education secretary Anita Karwal. The panel will submit recommendations to strengthen examination processes and ensure greater integrity in future exams.
