PoJK Protesters Seek Help From India's Jammu, Kashmir & Ladakh Regions Amid Pakistan's Crackdown
Massive anti-Pakistan protests have reportedly intensified across Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK) following a government crackdown and the arrest of over 600 civil rights activists. Videos circulating on social media show Jammu Kashmir JAAC leader Sardar Aman Khan alleging severe shortages of food and medicines while appealing for support from people across Jammu, Kashmir, Ladakh and other regions. In the videos, Khan also called for peaceful participation in a July 5 protest, alleging increasing repression, military aggression and restrictions under Pakistani authorities. He urged people to raise their voices for basic rights and justice. The Jammu Kashmir JAAC has called for large-scale demonstrations across the region, aiming to mobilise around five lakh participants in what it describes as a peaceful civil rights movement.
