PoK Youth Crosses LoC To Meet Woman In North Kashmir, Apprehended By Army
A 22-year-old man from Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK), identified as Zeeshan Mir, was apprehended by Army troops after allegedly crossing the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir’s Uri sector. According to officials, Mir had developed a relationship with a woman from Uri through social media and was reportedly motivated to cross the border in hopes of starting a new life in India. Investigators said Mir had been facing family and financial pressures in Muzaffarabad and found emotional support through the online connection. Officials said the two had allegedly discussed a plan involving his surrender to Indian authorities and eventual settlement in Jammu and Kashmir. Security agencies are verifying the claims and examining all possible angles before deciding further legal action.
