Rahul Gandhi Leads Congress Protest At PM Modi's Doorstep, Demands Pradhan's Resignation
Congress leaders led by Rahul Gandhi staged a protest outside Prime Minister Narendra Modi's residence at Lok Kalyan Marg in Delhi on Tuesday, demanding the resignation of the Prime Minister and Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over alleged police action against student protesters. Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, KC Venugopal and several other party leaders joined the demonstration before Delhi Police detained multiple protesters. During the protest, Union Minister Jitendra Singh briefly met Rahul Gandhi and urged him to call off the agitation. Earlier in the day, Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi visited students injured during the previous day's protest and met the family of a woman protester receiving treatment. The Congress continued to accuse the Centre of failing to address concerns over examination irregularities and alleged police excesses.
