RSS Loyalist Pralhad Joshi Appointed As India's New Education Minister Hours After Pradhan's Exit
Following the resignation of Dharmendra Pradhan, Union Minister Pralhad Joshi has been given additional charge of the Ministry of Education. President Droupadi Murmu accepted Pradhan's resignation on the advice of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and approved the reassignment of the portfolio to Joshi. A senior BJP leader and Member of Parliament from Dharwad, Karnataka, Pralhad Joshi will continue handling his existing ministries of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, and New and Renewable Energy (MNRE). He also serves as the President of the International Solar Alliance. Joshi's appointment comes at a crucial time as the Education Ministry faces key policy and administrative challenges, with expectations that he will ensure continuity while overseeing the ministry alongside his current responsibilities.
