'Samajwadi Party, Congress Using Ram for 2027 UP Elections': VHP Chief on Ram Mandir Donation Row

Vishva Hindu Parishad International President Alok Kumar has called for a thorough and impartial investigation into the alleged irregularities in donations made to the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple, asserting that anyone found guilty should face the strictest punishment under the law. Kumar welcomed the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust's request for an SIT probe and urged the public to await the findings before drawing conclusions. He stressed that donations made by crores of devotees are sacred and any breach of trust must be dealt with firmly. At the same time, he criticised the Samajwadi Party and Congress for politicising the issue ahead of the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, accusing them of attempting to exploit the controversy for political gain while reiterating that the investigation should proceed without bias or interference.
