'Shashi Tharoor Hears What PM Modi Does Not Say': Congress Leader Khera Takes Swipe

Congress leader Pawan Khera took a dig at party colleague Shashi Tharoor over his remarks praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying Tharoor’s admiration appeared to have “transcended the physical world” and that he seemed to hear things the Prime Minister “does not even say.” The comments came after Tharoor defended PM Modi’s handling of concerns related to Indian civilian sailors and said the Prime Minister had conveyed India’s position during meetings with US President Donald Trump. Khera said he had not seen Tharoor’s full remarks but pointed out that the official India-US joint statement did not mention the deaths of three Indian sailors in the Gulf of Oman or related issues. Tharoor later responded on X, saying his comments were being misinterpreted and that his focus was on protecting civilian lives, stressing that concern for Indian citizens should not become a political issue.
