'Strictly Prohibited': Delhi Police Invokes Section 163, Issues Warning Over CJP's Sansad March

Delhi Police has said no permission has been sought or granted for the Cockroach Janta Party’s proposed ‘Chalo Sansad’ march to Parliament ahead of the Monsoon Session. Authorities said prohibitory orders under Section 163 of the BNSS remain in force across New Delhi, warning that any unauthorised gathering could invite legal action. Meanwhile, the Delhi High Court upheld the Centre’s decision to shift climate activist Sonam Wangchuk from Jantar Mantar to Safdarjung Hospital for medical monitoring. CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke has appealed to supporters to hold a peaceful night-long vigil at Jantar Mantar before the march. Wangchuk’s wife, Gitanjali Angmo, said he would end his hunger strike if political leaders assured that education accountability would be discussed in Parliament.
