'This Is Not Done': Jitendra Singh Claims Rahul Gandhi 'Changed His Demands', Hails PM Modi

Union Minister Jitendra Singh said the Centre sent him and Union Home Secretary Govind Mohan to meet Congress leaders protesting outside Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s residence and persuade them to end the sit-in through dialogue. Singh claimed Rahul Gandhi initially agreed to call off the protest if the government assured a discussion in Parliament on the NEET paper leak and related issues. According to Singh, after the government conveyed its willingness to hold such a discussion, Rahul Gandhi added a fresh demand seeking the resignation of the Education Minister. Singh alleged that the Leader of the Opposition changed his stance despite the government's assurance. He also said Prime Minister Narendra Modi had already assured that those responsible for paper leak episodes would not go unpunished.
