'Thought We Would Die': Air India Phuket-Delhi Flight Hit By Violent Turbulence, Several Injured
An Air India flight from Phuket to Delhi encountered turbulence on Tuesday, leaving several passengers and crew members injured before landing safely in the national capital. According to initial reports, 10 passengers and two cabin crew members suffered injuries after the aircraft experienced a sudden loss of around 300 feet in altitude. Air India said flight AI2379 experienced a brief turbulence event during cruise, resulting in a momentary change in altitude, and confirmed that there were no serious injuries. The airline said all 134 passengers and crew members disembarked safely, while those with minor injuries were taken for precautionary medical assessment. Fortis Hospital, Vasant Kunj, confirmed that seven passengers were admitted for treatment and are under observation. Authorities are investigating the incident.
