TMC MP Saayoni Ghosh Reacts After BJP Leader's Alleged Rs 1 Crore Beheading Remark

A political controversy has erupted after Trinamool Congress MP Saayoni Ghosh alleged she received an “open death threat” following remarks by Sikandrabad Nagar Palika chairman and BJP leader Pradeep Dixit. Videos circulating on social media purportedly showed Dixit announcing a ₹1 crore reward for anyone who “beheads” Ghosh. The TMC MP reacted strongly, tagging Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, while seeking action over the remarks. Ghosh also urged the West Bengal and Uttar Pradesh police to intervene. The row is linked to a 2015 social media post from Ghosh’s account that had led to an FIR. Ghosh has maintained that her account was hacked at the time and the controversial image was uploaded by hackers.
