UP CM Yogi Vows Action, Dy CM Breaks Down After 15 Students Killed In Lucknow Fire Tragedy
A devastating fire at a coaching-cum-gaming zone in Lucknow's Aliganj area has claimed the lives of at least 15 students, while several others were injured. The blaze broke out on Monday afternoon, prompting a massive rescue operation involving 14 fire tenders and a hydraulic platform vehicle. According to KGMU's Trauma Centre, 21-22 children were brought in, with 15 declared dead on arrival and five admitted for treatment. Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed grief over the tragedy and announced ex-gratia assistance of Rs 2 lakh for the families of the deceased and Rs 50,000 for the injured. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath rushed back to Lucknow, ordered a detailed probe, and vowed strict action against those found responsible.
