Wedding, Car, Cash Gifts: Ram Temple Donation 'Theft' Accused's Rs 19 Lakh Spending Trail
Police investigating the alleged embezzlement of donations at the Ram Temple have uncovered fresh financial leads during the custodial interrogation of accused Avinash Shukla. According to reports, Shukla allegedly disclosed details of an additional expenditure of around Rs 19 lakh on family members, friends and personal purchases. Investigators claim he spent money on his brothers' wedding expenses, transferred funds to relatives and a friend, purchased a car worth about Rs 3.5 lakh, and gifted an expensive mobile phone. Police have questioned two of his brothers, seized relevant documents and are scrutinising land purchases and bank accounts linked to the case. Legal proceedings have also been initiated to recover funds allegedly routed to different individuals as the investigation continues.
