'Whole-Of-Nation Approach': CDS Chauhan Says Future Wars Will Span Cyber, Cognitive Domains
Chief of Defence Staff Anil Chauhan said future wars would be fought across multiple domains including land, sea, air, cyberspace and cognitive warfare, while inaugurating the NIBE Defence Manufacturing Complex in Shirdi. General Chauhan stated that modern warfare was rapidly evolving with technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, robotics, drones and cyber systems reshaping future battlefields. He said conflicts would no longer remain limited to geographical boundaries, with digital networks, cyber infrastructure and information systems also becoming part of warfare. Highlighting India’s growing defence capabilities, Chauhan said domestic defence production had reached nearly Rs 1.27 lakh crore and exports crossed Rs 38,000 crore. He also described Shirdi as an emerging hub for defence manufacturing, technological innovation and national security.
