'Women Were Beaten Like Animals': CJP Protesters After 'Lathi-Charge' By RAF, Delhi Police

Several eyewitnesses and protesters shared their accounts after the police action during the Cockroach Janta Party's (CJP) 'Chalo Sansad' protest in Delhi. According to eyewitnesses, Delhi Police and RAF personnel used sticks and batons to disperse hundreds of students and youth activists marching from Mandi House Metro Station towards Jantar Mantar. The protesters had gathered to join the CJP demonstration demanding accountability over alleged examination irregularities. Despite heavy rain and unprecedented security arrangements across central Delhi, thousands assembled at Jantar Mantar for the protest. The alleged lathi-charge followed clashes between protesters and security personnel as demonstrators attempted to move towards the designated protest site.
