IIT Patna Introduces New AI Course Open to Students Without JEE Score
JEE Main 2026: The registration process for the second session of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2026 is now underway. IIT Roorkee has also published the schedule for JEE Advanced 2026. In a significant development, IIT Patna has introduced a new Artificial Intelligence (AI) course that allows admission without requiring a JEE score. This presents a unique opportunity for students to gain entry into an IIT without the traditional JEE pathway. The application window is open, with a deadline set for February 13, 2026.
Admission Criteria:
The newly launched 6-month AI certificate course at IIT Patna is available to students who have completed their 12th grade. Notably, applicants can enroll in this program without needing a JEE score. Typically, IIT admissions are contingent upon JEE Main results, which lead to eligibility for JEE Advanced and subsequent seat allocation through JoSAA counseling. However, this course allows for direct applications without the JEE requirement.
Course Structure:
The "Certificate Program in Generative AI" is tailored for working professionals and is conducted online. It aims to provide foundational knowledge in AI, emphasizing practical and hands-on learning experiences. Participants will explore AI applications across various industries, including marketing, education, finance, and technology.
Enrollees will gain insights into application development, Generative AI, the basics of large language models (LLMs), automated workflows, and task automation. The curriculum includes training on over 50 AI tools.
