'Not In Our Hands' Jackie Shroff Reacts To Son Tiger's Dry Spell & Back-To-Back Flops
After making his debut in 2014 with Heropanti, Tiger Shroff quickly carved a niche for himself in Bollywood, particularly among younger audiences who admired his martial arts skills, disciplined fitness lifestyle, and action-packed screen presence. Over the years, the actor built a strong fan following with films that highlighted his athleticism and high-energy performances.
However, in recent years, Tiger Shroff has struggled to maintain consistent box office success, with several of his releases failing to make the desired impact commercially.
Now, veteran actor Jackie Shroff has opened up about his son’s career phase in a recent conversation, reflecting on the ups and downs Tiger has faced in the industry despite his popularity and dedicated fan base.
Jackie Shroff, who has himself experienced the highs and lows of the film industry over decades, has shared a grounded perspective on his son Tiger Shroff’s journey in Bollywood, stating that he is not overly concerned about the fluctuations in success or failure.
Speaking to Mid-day, Jackie emphasised that an actor has limited control over a film’s fate and that outcomes are ultimately shaped by factors beyond individual effort. He said, “Life is such that these things are not in our hands. You have to work hard. Sometimes you will get results, and other times you won’t.”
Despite recent setbacks at the box office, Jackie noted that Tiger continues to maintain a disciplined and committed approach towards his craft. According to him, the younger actor remains focused on hard work rather than outcomes.
“We are actors, we have to go through everything. Tiger knows it. He says, ‘I will work sincerely. The rest is up to the audience.’ That [approach] is fantastic. He will be okay,” Jackie added, expressing confidence that persistence and sincerity will eventually pay off.
