Ahead of Jurassic World Rebirth’s
The 2022 movie is the third installment in the Jurassic World
series and the sixth installment overall in the Jurassic Park film series. It is set four years after the destruction of Isla Nublar, where dinosaurs now live and hunt alongside humans all over the world. The movie disappoints with a lukewarm climax, being antithetical to the thrilling endings that Jurassic Park movies are known for.The movie stars Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, BD Wong, and Omar Sy reprise their roles from the previous films, along with Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum, and Sam Neill, who appear together for the first time since the original Jurassic Park
. Rank 5: ‘Jurassic Park III’ (2001)The third entry in the Jurassic Park trilogy in which Sam Neill returns as Dr. Alan Grant. The fast-paced short flick does little to add to the original Jurassic Park script. Although the movie shows some of the goriest deaths in the series, the plot of the movie failed to rouse the masses.
The humans end up fighting each other and we are left rooting for the dinos. If you haven’t seen the Jurassic Park
This is the sequel to Jurassic World (2015), the second installment in the Jurassic World series and the fifth installment overall in the Jurassic Park
The movie follows Owen Grady and Claire Dearing as they come back to the fictional island of Isla Nublar to save the remaining dinosaurs from an impending volcanic eruption, only to discover something shocking.
This movie is considered to be one of the best sequels in the whole series, although a lot of potential went untapped in the movie. Apart from that, the movie runs at an awkward pace and the work put into the characters’ arcs seem to be insufficient.
Rank 3: ‘The Lost World: Jurassic Park’ (1997)Directed by Steven Spielberg, this movie is the second installment in the Jurassic Park franchise and the original Jurassic Park trilogy.
In a 2016 interview with The New York Times, Steven Spielberg, the legend himself admitted The Lost World was a disappointment. Dr. Ian Malcolm’s character development was one of the things that made this movie a lost cause.
In the novel, Michael Crichton actually kills Malcolm’s character but Goldblum's popularity made the writers bring him back and awkwardly reinvent him as the leading man.
Rank 2: ‘Jurassic World’ (2015)The 2015 movie first installment in the Jurassic World series and the fourth installment overall in the Jurassic Park film series. The visually spectacular movie rightly deserves the second on this list. This movie breathed life back into the franchise, grossing a whopping $1.67 billion worldwide.
Set 22 years after the events of Jurassic Park
The very first movie, directed by Steven Spielberg, hit it out of the park. It set the stage for the whole Jurassic Universe. This movie became one of the highest-grossing movies of all time.
It is based on Michael Crichton's 1990 novel in which a disaster befalls a wildlife park of cloned dinosaurs. The special effects were way ahead of their time. The movie paved the way for one of the most successful franchises in global cinema.
