Exciting Matches Highlight Day Six of Hockey India Senior Men Inter-Department Championship
On October 5, 2025, the Naval Tata Hockey Academy in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, witnessed thrilling action as the All India Police Sports Control Board, Railway Sports Promotion Board, Services Sports Control Board, and Central Secretariat secured victories on the sixth day of the Hockey India Senior Men Inter-Department National Championship.
Following the day's matches, teams including the All India Police Sports Control Board, Comptroller & Auditor General of India, Railway Sports Promotion Board, Petroleum Sports Promotion Board, Services Sports Control Board, and Central Secretariat progressed to the quarter-finals, as reported by Hockey India.
Later in the day, the Food Corporation of India was set to compete against the Sports Authority of India, while the ITBP Central Hockey Team was scheduled to face the Central Board of Direct Taxes in Pool D, determining the last two teams to advance to the quarter-finals.
In a Pool A encounter, the All India Police Sports Control Board triumphed over Tamil Nadu Police with a score of 3-2. Aman Sharma scored twice (8', 14') and Haris Mohammad added another (19') for the Police team, while Kumar R (21') and Mathan M (23') netted for Tamil Nadu Police.
The Railway Sports Promotion Board dominated their match against Punjab & Sind Bank in Pool B, winning 5-1. Goals from Shamanth Cs (15'), Gursahibjit Singh (17'), Darshan Vaibhav Gawkar (27'), Pardeep Singh (38'), and Pankaj (41') secured a convincing victory, with Charanjeet Singh (14') scoring the lone goal for Punjab & Sind Bank.
In another Pool B match, the Central Reserve Police Force and Sashastra Seema Bal ended in a 2-2 draw. Lovejeet Singh (7') and Samsher (51') scored for the Central Reserve Police Force, while Bikash Kujur (32') and Agandeep Singh (54') found the net for Sashastra Seema Bal.
In Pool C, the Services Sports Control Board defeated the Steel Plant Sports Board 3-1. Rahul Kumar Rajbhar (16') opened the scoring, followed by goals from Sukhdev Singh (38') and Bhavin Kushalappa (44'). Lelsan Minz (37') scored the only goal for the Steel Plant Sports Board.
In another Pool C match, the Central Secretariat edged out the Central Industrial Security Force 3-2. Captain Govind Singh Rawat (12') initiated the scoring, with quick goals from Nitin Mukesh Tigga (21') and Kawaljit Singh (22'). Ankit Kumar Singh (18') and Yograj Singh (45') contributed to the scoreline for the Central Industrial Security Force.
