ISRO Invites Applications for Junior Research Fellow Positions

Educational Qualification

Candidates must meet the following academic requirements:

ME/M.Tech/M.Sc. (Engineering) or equivalent degree with at least 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA for most disciplines.
For Mathematics and Physics-related positions, candidates must possess an M.Sc. degree with a minimum of 65% marks.

In addition, applicants must have qualified in at least one national-level examination such as:

GATE
NET
JAM
JEST
Any other recognized equivalent examination

Age Limit

Maximum age: 28 years
Age will be calculated as on July 11, 2026.

Age relaxation will be provided to reserved category candidates as per Government of India norms.

Selection Process

The recruitment process will be conducted in two stages:

1. Shortlisting

Candidates will be shortlisted based on academic performance, qualifications, and eligibility criteria.

2. Personal Interview

Only shortlisted candidates will be invited for the interview stage.

Final selection will be based on overall performance and suitability for the research position.

Monthly Fellowship

Junior Research Fellow (JRF): ₹37,000 per month
After promotion to Senior Research Fellow (SRF): ₹42,000 per month
