MG Hector Hawk Spotted Testing Ahead of Launch: New SUV Set to Rival Tata Safari and Mahindra XUV 7XO
MG Motor is gearing up to expand its SUV lineup with the upcoming Hector Hawk, a premium three-row SUV expected to make its debut in August 2026. Based on the globally available Wuling Starlight S/560 platform, the new model is likely to be offered in both Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) and fully Electric Vehicle (EV) versions.
The upcoming SUV is expected to compete with popular models such as the Tata Safari, Mahindra XUV 7XO, and Mahindra XEV 9S in the premium SUV segment.
Modern Exterior with EV-Inspired DesignThe recently spotted test vehicle was heavily camouflaged, but several design details were visible.
Expected exterior highlights include:
- LED headlamps with sleek LED daytime running lights.
- Closed front grille on the EV variant for improved aerodynamics.
- Stylish alloy wheels.
- Charging port positioned on the rear left fender.
- Wraparound LED tail lamps.
- Roof-mounted spoiler.

The overall design appears more modern and premium than the current Hector.
