The online application process commenced on June 13, 2026, and will remain open until July 6, 2026, for registration. The final date for submitting the application form is July 13, 2026. Candidates are encouraged to frequently check the official OSSSC website for updates regarding the exam date and admit card release.


Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for these Nursing Officer positions, candidates must have completed their Intermediate education from a recognized board. They should also possess either a General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) diploma or a B.Sc. Nursing degree, along with a valid registration certificate from the Odisha Nursing Council or any State Nursing Council recognized by the Indian Nursing Council (INC). Additionally, candidates must have passed at least the Class 7 examination with Odia as a subject.


Age Requirements

The age limit for applicants in the general category is between 21 and 38 years. However, candidates from SC, ST, SEBC, and female categories are eligible for a 5-year age relaxation as per government regulations. Further age relaxation may apply to candidates from reserved categories based on applicable rules.


Salary Structure

Selected candidates will be compensated according to Pay-Matrix Level-8 under the Odisha Revised Scale of Pay (ORSP Rules 2017). The starting basic salary for this role is ₹29,200 per month, with the potential to increase to ₹92,300. Additional benefits such as Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), and other government perks will also be provided.
