Riddhima Kapoor's 15-Year-Old Daughter Samara Debuts With Her Mother In Daadi Ki Shaadi
A new chapter unfolds for the Kapoor family as Samara Sahni makes her entry into films at just 15. She is set to debut with Daadi Ki Shaadi, which is scheduled for release on May 8. Samara is the granddaughter of the late actor Rishi Kapoor, adding an emotional legacy to her first step into cinema.
What makes the project even more special is its unique generational presence. While Samara begins her acting journey, her mother, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, also makes her acting debut with the film. Joining them is veteran actress Neetu Kapoor, making it a rare and heartfelt collaboration of three generations of the same family sharing screen space.
Samara Sahni will be seen in a brief yet memorable appearance in the song “Senti” from Daadi Ki Shaadi, where she shares screen space with her mother, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni and grandmother Neetu Kapoor. Speaking about the moment, Riddhima said, “It’s a small but a very sweet appearance in the song. As a mother, it’s such a proud and emotional moment to see your child on screen.”
The Kapoor family’s journey with women in cinema has evolved significantly over the years. While there was once hesitation about daughters entering the film industry, actors like Karisma Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan broke those barriers and went on to build successful careers, opening doors for the next generation.
For now, Samara remains focused on her education, though she is no stranger to public attention thanks to her frequent appearances with her family. She is the daughter of Riddhima and businessman Bharat Sahni, who tied the knot in 2006.
Before stepping into films, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni had appeared on the reality series Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives
Riddhima also revealed that Kapil Sharma played a key role in her landing the film. “I haven’t really asked him why directly. But I think he saw a certain honesty or relatability in me. I’m just grateful he recommended my name,” she added.
