Tamil Nadu: CM Vijay government hikes TASMAC employees' salaries by 25%!
Chennai: The Tamil Nadu government has taken a major decision to curb corruption and prevent customers from being charged more than the fixed price at government-run TASMAC liquor outlets. It has issued an order increasing the salaries of TASMAC employees by 25 per cent.
According to the government, there have been widespread complaints that customers were being charged an extra Rs 10 per bottle at TASMAC outlets. The government expects that the salary revision will help curb such illegal practices.
