Taylor Swift-Travis Kelce wedding venue confirmed? Why Madison Square Garden is at the centre of the buzz
Rumours surrounding Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's wedding have picked up pace once again, with Madison Square Garden (MSG) in New York emerging as the reported venue for what could become one of the biggest celebrity events of the year. While multiple reports claim extensive preparations are underway, neither Swift nor Kelce has confirmed any wedding plans, leaving fans and social media buzzing with speculation.

According to reports by The New York Times, the couple is expected to host a small gathering before a much larger celebration at the iconic arena. However, The Associated Press said it has been unable to independently verify those claims, and Swift's representatives have not responded to requests for comment.
Reports suggest Swift has reportedly reserved Madison Square Garden for several days around the July 4 holiday. The New York Times reported that the plans include an intimate gathering of around 100 guests on July 2, followed by a larger event for nearly 1,000 people on July 3.
Although nothing has been officially announced, several details have fuelled the speculation. Public records reportedly show permits for loading and unloading theatrical equipment at the venue between June 29 and July 4. Another permit application by Winick Productions reportedly sought approval to install a canopy or tent outside MSG for an event involving up to 999 people.
The arena also has no public events scheduled between June 29 and a Bon Jovi concert on July 7, adding to the rumours.
Mayor's joke adds to speculation
The rumours even reached New York City Hall.
During a recent press conference, New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani jokingly referred to the reported wedding while discussing security arrangements for upcoming events.
"We know it coincides with July Fourth, America 250, Taylor Swift's wedding all happening at the same time, and we are so excited to welcome the world here."
He added with a laugh, "I wish them a lovely wedding. I'll listen to 'Only the Young' at home on my own."
Despite the remark, the mayor also made it clear he had not been invited, and his comments should not be taken as confirmation that the wedding is taking place.
Could the couple already be married?
Another twist came from a report by Page Six, which quoted an unnamed insider claiming, "I think it's possible it's already happened."
The source suggested the public celebration, if it takes place, may not necessarily be the couple's actual wedding ceremony. However, there is no official confirmation to support that claim, and neither Swift nor Kelce has addressed the speculation.
