Tragic Accident Claims Life of Young Airman at Vandenberg Space Force Base
This week, a tragic incident at Vandenberg Space Force Base in California resulted in the death of a young airman. Airman 1st Class Cedric Eneluna lost his life on Thursday when heavy machinery he was operating rolled down an embankment. Officials confirmed that he was the sole individual involved in the accident. At just 23 years old, Eneluna was originally from the Philippines and later moved to St. Louis, Missouri, before enlisting in the military on March 5, 2024. Vandenberg Space Force Base was his first assignment in the Air Force. He was part of a specialized team informally known as the "Dirt Boyz," which consists of pavement and equipment specialists who play a crucial role in supporting the base's launch, testing, and range operations.
