Tripura signs Google, Salesforce MoUs at business conclave
Guwahati: The Destination Tripura Business Conclave 2026 concluded with the State signing 43 Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) and 11 Expressions of Interest across Information Technology and allied sectors.
The two-day conclave drew an overwhelming response from investors, industry leaders, technology companies, entrepreneurs and policymakers from across the country, positioning Tripura as one of India's most exciting emerging destinations for technology-led and sustainable investment.

The conclave brought together the best of Tripura's digital infrastructure, forward-looking policy framework and fast-growing innovation ecosystem, catalysing new partnerships across Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Computing, Healthcare, Hospitality, Tourism, Power, Manufacturing, Green Energy and allied sectors.
The conclave was inaugurated by Chief Minister of Tripura Manik Saha in the presence of Minister for Information and Technology, Finance and Planning & Coordination, Pranajit Singha Roy, along with other cabinet ministers and senior officials from the Government of Tripura.
Saha said, "Tripura is one of the fastest growing states in the country. We have doubled the GSDP in just six years. We have strengthened national highways, network connectivity, waterways and banking infrastructure. We had initially expected around 500 participants for the Destination Tripura Business Conclave 2026, but more than 1,000 people have attended. This reflects the growing confidence of investors in Tripura and is very encouraging for the State."
Also addressing the conclave virtually, Union Minister of Commerce & Industry Piyush Goyal said, "Today, under India's Act East Policy, Tripura is becoming a gateway to Southeast Asian countries, playing an important role in trade and exports with Bangladesh. Industries that come to Tripura enjoy a highly strategic location, excellent connectivity and strong digital infrastructure, Tripura truly has an edge over other states."
Minister for Information Technology and Finance, Planning & Coordination department, Pranajit Singha Roy while interacting with investors highlighted the State Government’s investor-friendly policies and encouraged them to explore Tripura as a preferred destination for IT investments. He assured them of the Government of Tripura’s full support and all necessary assistance in establishing and expanding their ventures in the state.
On the first day Jeya Ragul Geshan B, Director, Department of Information Technology presented the various policies introduced over the last few years in the IT sector and highlighted how Tripura’s growing IT infrastructure and human capital offer huge advantages to the sector in the region.
He said ‘Our policies are already delivering results. We have successfully attracted a Rs 200 Crore investment from Airtel for a data centre in Agartala. Furthermore, our startup ecosystem is thriving with 134 registered startups, 59 recognised companies and over 2.7 crore disbursed in fiscal assistance”
Kiran Gitte, Secretary, Industries and Commerce, Government of Tripura, in his address emphasized how the government has consistently focused on business reforms and have been provided single window and single agencies for all approvals. “With huge investments in national highways, railways, banking, internet connectivity and highways and highly educated and skilled manpower I invite all investors to join the journey towards Viksit Tripura”
